JumpGen Systems Announces Support for RMI’s Superscalar Multi-core XLP Processor Family

RMI Partnership Grows to include all Multi-Core Multi-Threaded Processor Families for Embedded Processor Board Solutions

Cupertino, California – May 19, 2009 -- At Interop 2009, JumpGen Systems (JumpGen), an agile, innovative supplier of embedded processor board solutions, today announced its support for RMI’s latest multi-core processor family, the XLP™ Processor. RMI Corporation, a leading provider of high-performance processors for communication and media rich applications, announced earlier today, the industry’s highest performing processor core and Multi-core processor family driving unmatched system and performance scalability.

The superscalar XLP Processor drives performance levels at greater than 2.0 GHz and offers a 3x performance per watt improvement over previous generation processor. This latest offering will bring about the most advanced and most highly integrated multi-core processor in the industry while maintaining the innovative multi-threading capabilities of RMI’s existing processor families. The XLP Processor family, much like the XLS® Processor will be utilized in next generation development solutions from JumpGen Systems and will provide high performance processing platforms for deploying wireless and wireline solutions including network security, unified threat management, media gateway and access applications.
